Owner-operator-Captain Rick Fleischman acts as Sailing Yacht Bob's skipper, cook, dishwasher, maid, deckhand, card dealer, and story teller. He has over 30 years of experience in Alaska, and holds a US Coast Guard Masters license. Rick has chartered in the Caribbean, Mexico, and South Pacific, and has delivered yachts in the Pacific and Atlantic (his longest was a sail from New Zealand to Seattle). He is a published author and photographer and recently spent the winter caretaking a remote wilderness lodge on Baranof Island in Southeast Alaska. His knowledge includes the location of every fish, crab, eagle, bear and whale in the state!
Rick's wife Jennifer sometimes joins the crew when her day job as a flight attendant for Alaska Airlines permits. She takes over some of the galley duties, but primarily acts as cruise director and skipper supervisor. Jen is also a published photographer and loves the wonder and splendor of Southeast Alaska! She keeps in shape by doing curls with the large fish you will catch!
Feral Bueller is the newest addition to the crew. Since she showed up as a hungry kitten on Rick and Jen’s snow covered back deck in the middle of a Sitka cold spell a few winters back, Feral has become a welcome addition to the Bob! Feral’s responsibilities include napping coordinator, crab cracking inspector (crab is her favorite!), and fish filleting supervisor.
