  • Waters are close to 80 degrees year round.

  • Consistent trade winds (directly from Africa) for great sailing and pleasant sunbathing:
    • Peak winds are from late December through February. "Christmas winds" may blow for several days at 25-30 knots.
    • Summer, winds and weather are less steady.

  • Hurricane season runs from June-November, though the greatest risk is August - October. September and October are the lowest season. Optional travel insurance is recommended.
