Discover Greece as it
was meant to be seen: by water, from the decks of your own personal cruising yacht.
Charter a sailing, power or mega yacht and explore the land that history regards
as the home of the gods and the birthplace of civilization. Sail among thousands
of islands in one of the Mediterranean's most magical and seductive cruising grounds
for a vacation unlike any other. It is impossible to escape the natural beauty
of a region that is picture postcard perfect. Gleaming whitewashed architecture
adjacent to enduring ruins and framed by azure seas and cloudless cobalt skies
stun the senses and blur the lines between past and present. No other sailing
arena offers such intense images of modern culture perpetually linked to a mythological
past.
Your Greek Isles charter vacation will lure you to places, ports
and coves as exotic and hypnotic as their names: Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes;
sail the waters of the Aegean, Ionian and Mediterranean Seas through the Cyclades,
the Dodecanese and the Sporades Islands. Though each locale is as distinctive
and unique as its name, the ever-present historical references, lasting traditions
and warm hospitality of a cultural and geographic treasure are always in place.
Chartering in Greece offers one of the widest windows of temperate weather,
making for an unusually long season ---- from April to the end of October. Travelers
may charter during the high season of July and August when the weather is the
warmest. In some areas, strong local winds known as Meltemi can occur, typically
between late July - August. If you are looking to avoid the crowds, consider chartering
during either of the shoulder seasons (April through June or September through
October) when the weather is milder, the winds are lighter and the day and shore
side tourists have not reached their maximum density.
In all of the
Mediterranean, Greece remains one of the most popular areas to charter a crewed
power or sailing yacht. With unspoiled natural beauty, an inviting culture and
archaeological treasures seamlessly integrated into a present-day landscape, this
captivating destination will never cease to amaze, enchant and forever draw you
back. | |
