Yacht Charter Sample Itinerary
Considered by many to be the most beautiful
and romantic location on Earth,
these spectacular and infamous islands are a superb yacht charter destination.
The lagoons surrounding the beautiful mountainous islands offer
calm cruising and anchorages.
For the ultimate use of your
time, we suggest a one-way itinerary.
This
is also a superb area for staying ashore before or after your charter. The island
of Moorea is an outstanding option to complement your charter yacht experience
in the Society Islands.
ITINERARY:
Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, sublime sailing in
warm trade winds, and kayaking in the indescribably beautiful and romantic Society
Islands of French Polynesia. The spectacular mountainous islands are surrounded
by tranquil lagoons.
- Along
Raiatea and Tahaa, visit the most sacred temple in all of Polynesia (where explorers
departed to populate Hawaii), funky Uturoa village on Raiatea, and dinghy up a
jungle river
- Approaching
Bora Bora, the incredible lagoon colors are reflected in the bases of the clouds!
Snorkel the "Lagoonarium with reef fish, gentle rays, and (if you like)
sharks! Then on to an amazing drift
snorkel through a coral garden.
- Hear
amazing singing
at a church service Sunday morning on Tahaa
-
Sailing to/from Huahine and Bora Bora are half day ocean passages each way
SEASONS:
The
best sailing season is from late April through November. The trade winds are blowing
then and they are usually moderate (10-15 knots) from the NE. July can sometimes
get stronger trade winds (15-20 knots) but that does not always happen.
July
& August are considered the peak season, but only because many Europeans visit
then.
