OPTION 1 - Fly to Tortola BVI:
- The airport for Tortola is called "Beef Island" - code "EIS"
- You must change planes in San Juan, Puerto Rico
- American has the most flights in/out of EIS.
- Need a hotel on Tortola?
- Taxi time between the airport and yacht at Road Town is about 20 minutes.
OPTION 2 - Fly to St. Thomas USVI with direct jet service:

If you change planes, you try to avoid Miami due to weather delays. If you change planes flying American, try for Dallas (a major hub with more planes in case yours has a problem).

Then ferry to the BVI:
- Arriving STT by 3PM with only carry-on luggage, you can take a 7 minute cab to the large, fast catamaran ferry. Departs 4PM Charlotte Amalie, arrives 4:50PM in Road Town, Tortola. Relax out on the top deck!
- If you arrive after 3:30PM, spend the night on St. Thomas. The Best Western Emerald Beach is 2 minutes from the STT airport. There are no night flights, so it is quiet. Right on a beach with flat calm water. The next morning, it's about 5 minutes to the Charlotte Amalie ferry terminal.
- We do not suggest the other older, slower ferries.
